Krukow had an excellent career as a starting pitcher with the Cubs, Phillies and the Giants. 1986 was his best year as he was 20-6 and finished third in the Cy Young voting.
After his retirement, he became a commentator with the Giants in the early 90's. He has been with them ever since and he and Duane Kuiper remain a very funny announcing duo for the Giants.
