Happy Birthday to Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer, born on this day in 1991 (I'm getting old).
Bauer was a former college pitcher of the year at UCLA and was selected third in the draft by the Diamondbacks. In 2012, he was part of a three team deal and ended up with the Indians.
In 2016 for the Indians, he was 12 and 8 in the regular season. The post season was a different story and he became famous as the first major league player who had a drone related injury. Of course, the best part about that was a great quote from his manager Terry Francona, which is the Baseball Birthday Quote of the Day.
"It's kind of self-explanatory. I think everybody here (the press corp) at some point or other had a drone related problem."
--Terry Francona, discussing Trevor Bauer's unfortunate drone related injury
